The donor is in excellent health
and has never had any significant health problems. He requires glasses to see
well. Donor blood type is O rh+.
The sperm bank has performed a series
of medical tests designed to prevent disease transmission via the frozen sperm.
These tests include:
- HIV1 & 2, with 6 month quarantine.
- HTLV-1
- Syphilis
- Hepatitis B & C
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhea
The frozen semen has been quarantined
for 6 months and then the donor re-tested for all pathogens.
